What I Do
My Story
I played high level youth rugby with Gloucester Academy & Bromsgrove School up until being forced to quit due to recurrent hamstring injuries at the age of 18. This experience first exposed me to elite sports performance concepts, as well as the traditional approach to injury rehabilitation which left me unable to pursue the career in professional sport that I’d wanted since I was 5. After losing my identity as an athlete, I left the UK to travel Australia where I completed a Level 4 PT qualification as a Master Trainer with the Australian Institute of Sport. It was here that I was first exposed to a more holistic approach of working with people through my first mentor, elite strength coach Stu Bush, who introduced me to the concept of taking a nervous system based approach.
Diving deep into the study of functional anatomy and neurology, I began to formulate the beginnings of my current philosophies and outlook which form the foundation of how I approach rehabilitation to this day, 6 years later.
At the same time, I received some advice that changed the course of my life - “If you don’t know what you want to do in life…pick a problem that p*sses you off and solve it”.
That problem was the current standard of physiotherapy rehabilitation, so I made it my mission to solve it.
I gained a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, with over 1000 hours of clinical experience in the NHS, which taught me the intricacies of managing patient’s with complex health conditions across respiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal populations. Throughout my time at university, I gained a particular passion for neurological rehab, alongside my pre-existing interest in sports injury return to sport rehab.
Upon graduating, I founded Progress Physiotherapy & Performance Clinic and have since helped hundred’s of recreational and elite athlete’s recover from injury and return to sport better than they were before injury, whilst investing in cutting edge technologies to deliver revolutionary treatment for neurological conditions, becoming the 1st physiotherapist in the entire UK using a Neubie device.
Progress Physio & Performance Clinic provides world-class injury rehabilitation, as well as cutting edge therapy for neurological conditions.
Progress was founded as a rebellion against the stagnant, traditional approach to rehabilitation, making it my mission to change the physio game one person at a time.
